This is my forth month and I'm still not happy with my progress. I know I can do so much better but I am still not pushing myself to my potential. My blog now has 49 posts which means I only wrote 6 posts from last month. That is really bad. But the blog is still increasing in terms of visits and revenue, so my laziness is not affecting it badly. Just that it could progress faster.
Here's a graph of my visits in November:
My Google Rank has also improved very slightly as you can see here:
This is my income report for November 2013:
SQUIDOO: not updated
ADSENSE: $0.31
AMAZON: $63.15
TOTAL: $63.46
Sadly, though it is an improvement, it is just a tiny improvement. Was hoping to double it this month. But this is what happens from laziness.
This is my stats for the month:
Total Unique Visits: 4838
Average Per Day: 161
Unique Visitors Thru To Amazon: 1014
Click Thru Rate: 20.96%
Number Of Sales: 51
Conversion: 5.03%
Average Sales: $1.24
The improved Click Thru Rate is because of the hyperlinks I have placed on my images.

October 2013: Third Month Progress Report
This is the third month for my brand new blog and it is seeing some good progress. I have so far written 43 posts and done a little more backlinking. Here's a summary of the analytics for it:
This also means that my ranking has greatly improved with most of my keywords ranked on the first page.

This is the Income Report for October 2013:

September 2013: Second Month Progress Report
Ok, it has been almost two months since I began my new blog. Progress has been slower than I wished due to my day job work commitments but it is growing steadily.
I have so far written 33 posts on my blog. And I have implemented my Backlinking Strategy steadily with an Anchor Layer, Secondary Layer, Social Bookmarking, Youtube Videos and PDF as well as Slide Sharing. This has allowed my site to gain steadily on Google and I have been getting a steady increase in traffic as you can see in my Google Analytics chart below:

This has also given me a better ranking with Google as you can see below:
Here's a summary of the income I got for the month of September 2013:
SQUIDOO: will only know mid month
ADSENSE: $1.32
AMAZON: $21.92
TOTAL: $23.24
It may still seem small but it is progressing and I am happy.
My goal now is to finish up my 50 posts by this month, and implement at least 50% of my Backlinking Strategy by end of October. This should help place my site firmly on Page One of Google.

1st Month Income Report
Officially, it's been one month since I began my brand new website. I must admit that progress could have been faster but unfortunately my day job took a toll on my time with a number of outstation trips, so progress was slow.
So far I have only written 18 posts. According to my "beastly resource" plan, I should have written a post a day which would make it about 30 posts, so I'm way behind.
In terms of linking, I have only done proper linking for my first two posts only. Need to speed up max.
This is a chart of my ranking so far:
As you probably can tell, my web ranking had dropped drastically after making a good climb. I have concluded that it is due to having too many Amazon links. You see, what I did about a week or so ago was to create separate pages in my blog, with each page hosting about almost two dozen Amazon ads of various products. This was meant to be sort of like an online store within my blog. But it seems Google might be viewing this as spammy and I seem to have been penalized for this.
To counter this effect, I have installed the Robots Meta plugin in my Wordpress and I have made those pages nofollow and noindex. I will be monitoring my ranking in the next couple of days and hope that this solves the problem.
Even though it is still brand new with so little linking and posts, I seem to have made a little money. You may laugh at my current sales because I can't buy a pack of cigarettes with it but this just shows the potential of the site even though it is very new and I am very optimistic. Here's the income amount:
SQUIDOO: $1.59
ADSENSE: $0.11
AMAZON: $0.68
TOTAL: $2.38
I will still be using Amazon for the moment until I've finished my beastly resource before finding for a newer merchant.

Progress Report
With 12 posts in my website, I have embarked on my backlinking strategy. So far I have written 2 articles which I have distributed to my selected articles directories. About 80% have been published so far, the rest are either pending or declined. Struggling a little with Squidoo and Hubpages because they are so strict. Although I do spin my article to the best of my ability, their programming still detects the articles as duplicate content. They have really strict criteria.
One possible way that I am going to look at is to publish to Squidoo first and only when it is approved, then I will publish to the rest. We'll see how that goes with my next article. That would eat in to my schedule a little though, so I will have to see if it is worth it, or if I should just drop Squidoo.
Once each post has been published successfully, I would social bookmark each of them. Then once, completed, I would Ping the article.
So far, my efforts seem to have a little impact. After a week of virtually non-existance in Google, I do see my website getting ranked for some of the keywords. Here's a screenshot, with the keywords arranged according to importance:
I've seen the ranking do the Google Dance the past few days and am waiting for it to stop bouncing. It seemed to have stabilized a little today. Being on pages 7, 9 and 10 might not seem all that great but it's only been two weeks and I have only two anchor articles out so far, so I'm happy with the progress.
My plan is to keep posting an article a day until I reach 14 articles. Then I will slow down to an article every 2 days for the next 14 articles, followed by 2 articles a week for the rest of the articles. This should free up my time for other linking methods, to vary my links and make them more enticing to Google.
